Full Time Floating Security Officer

Securitas Security Services is hiring for a full time, friendly and compassionate individual to work at a variety of our client sites in Middlesex & Essex Counties.

Our ideal candidate is someone personable, energetic, compassionate and customer service oriented. Often called a Flex or Floater Officer, this position requires officers to travel to all sites within the branch to provide professional security solutions to clients as our recruitment team works to fill open role. Flex/Float officers fill temporary assignments and can be called in to fill short notice openings (on call). Officers generally know their schedule one week in advance but may be called on with short notice or in the event of an emergency.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations
• Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents
• Prepares logs and reports as required
  
  

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills
• High level of professionalism
• MUST have GED or High School Diploma
• Valid Driver's License
• Walking/Standing for long periods of time
• Flexible work availability - willing to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, etc.
• Moderate computer knowledge needed
• At least 18 years old
