Security Locksmith Services is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Key Technician to join our team. The Key Technician will be responsible for creating, duplicating, and cutting keys using specialized machinery and hand tools. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, as well as a strong understanding of lock mechanisms and safe handling and storage of keys.

As a Key Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a supportive team to ensure that we are providing our customers with high-quality key cutting and duplication services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in locksmithing or key cutting who is looking for a challenging and rewarding position in a growing company.


Responsibilities
  • Create, duplicate, and cut keys using specialized machinery and hand tools
  • Use software to generate key codes and ensure proper key fit
  • Check keys for accuracy and quality control
  • Maintain key cutting equipment and tools
  • Keep records of keys cut and maintain inventory of key blanks
  • Adhere to all company safety guidelines and protocols
  • Provide assistance and support to other technicians as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in locksmithing or key cutting
  • Familiarity with specialized key cutting machinery and hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret key codes and specifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
