UX Designer
As a UX Designer at SecurityMetrics, you will become a member of our Product Management team, generating the technologies that help keep our customers happy and our company thriving. Your work will involve interaction design, graphic design, information architecture, personas, prototyping, usability testing, and ideation. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with Product Management, Developers, and QA Engineers, and will also interact regularly with Marketing, Sales, Support, and other internal and external customers with the goal of creating highly useful and usable software solutions. Job Responsibilities
In your day-to-day work, you will likely:
- Organize and attend requirements-gathering meetings with stakeholders both inside and outside the company
- Ideate on potential solutions through user research and mapping techniques
- Create and move designs through various stages of low and high-fidelity, ranging anywhere from “back of the napkin” to full prototype
- Organize and lead user interviews and usability tests
- Use your artistic and creative abilities to design icons, logos, and other branding materials that accurately represent the SecurityMetrics brand
- Create and follow processes to ensure high-quality output in a fast-paced environment
- Perform research on product technologies and structures to implement into design concepts
- Maintain up to date on current industry trends and market conditions
- Interpret data and qualitative feedback
- Conduct competitor and customer analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic, User Experience, or Interaction Design (or related discipline)
- Minimum 2 years of applied work experience
- Proficiency with the Adobe suite or similar design and prototyping software
- Empathy for users
- Keen listening and observation skills
- Enthusiasm for team-oriented development
- Excellence in communication (visually and verbally)
- Passion for problem-solving
- Optimism, energy, positivity, and self-starter attitude
