Summary
The Junior Graphic Designer is an entry-level design position responsible for designing graphics and visuals for all marketing channels throughout the See Rock City, Inc. portfolio of brands, ensuring that the content created tells a captivating, compelling and effective story to our guests and partners. This work includes digital display, out-of-home and print production, as well as assisting the Creative Services Manager with project workflow for all brands. Under the direction of the Creative Services Manager, the Junior Designer is responsible for performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
Delivers excellent guest service to internal and external customers in line with the organization’s mission, culture, and values.
Models appropriate guest and partner interaction at all times, displaying the values of the culture of excellence and leading in a manner that serves as an organizational model for the values.
Assists with the production of all associated marketing collateral and ads as directed by the Creative Services Manager according to established brand platforms/standards on time and of the highest quality.
Works with the Creative Services Manager and others on the marketing team to identify the best methods of communicating concepts within ads and collateral.
Maintains various computer, technical, and creative skills to achieve high-quality content, including Adobe Creative Suite to complete assignments.
Stay updated on emerging content and design trends to incorporate fresh ideas into projects.
Review and proofread content and creative to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Produces electronic files according to appropriate specifications necessary to produce final products.
Utilizes various photography, videography, and illustration skills throughout multiple projects, as needed.
Collaborates throughout projects with the Director, other managers, and the team, providing and receiving input constantly to produce the highest quality work product.
Adheres to organizational processes and procedures, ensuring they are always consistently followed.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Currently pursuing Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of one year of experience in multi-site and/or multi-brand environment preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Possess a kind personality, the desire to contribute to a great team, and a willingness to learn or improve skills.
Ability to display a professional, engaging, and polite image to guests and team partners.
Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small group situations, knowing your feedback and input are essential to the team.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, and Excel), Adobe Creative Suite, and a range of marketing and design software.
Ability to read and understand operational documents.
Ability to work effectively with a team in a fast-paced, efficient environment.
Must possess a current driver’s license and safe driving record.
Superior attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
Ability to provide a flexible schedule to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
Required to use hands and fingers regularly. Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds. Requires frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Must be able to stand regularly.
