What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advocate position at Segue Inc?
We are seeking compassionate and determined individuals for full-time positions who sincerely desire to positively impact the lives of our clients coping with severe mental illness. The role of a Mental Health Advocate is crucial within our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. Advocates work closely with adults who have a history of severe mental illness, providing support to help them remain safely in their communities and reduce the risk of hospitalization or the need for intensive psychiatric services.
The schedule for this position is set for Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Additionally, team members take turns in rotation for after-hours on-call responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION
- A verifiable Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or Nursing is REQUIRED. Alternatively, being a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) will also be considered.
- Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with specialized training or at least one year of experience treating or working with individuals with mental illness.
- Proficient typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- The ability to use IPads, Apple cell phones, and other technologies is preferred.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Previous experience using an Electronic Medical Records system (EMR) is preferred but not required.
- A valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation are necessary for this position.

Compensation and Benefits
The rate of pay is $17.50 with potential of earning up to an additional $20,000 annually through bonuses.
