Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items, including bread, pastries, and desserts
- Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistent quality and quantity of baked goods
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters
- Monitor baking process to ensure proper temperature and cooking time
- Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner
- Package finished products for display or sale
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and fulfilling special orders
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food production or baking is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and baking principles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating portion sizes
- Knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a kitchen environment
- Experience in catering or working in the food industry is a plus
