What are the responsibilities and job description for the RFP Analyst position at SEI?
The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members on our Marketing team supporting investment manager services.
The RFP Analyst will be responsible for supporting the RFP Manager within SEI's Investment Manager Services Division supporting the completion of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs). The Analyst will be primarily responsible for updating and maintaining the RFP database that contains all the relevant information needed to complete RFP, DDQ and RFI questions. Working in collaboration with the RFP Manager, this individual will also interface with applicable subject matter experts (SMEs) in operations, solutions and technology as well as marketing and sales team members to research and obtain the information required to complete the RFP, DDQ and RFI questions under very tight, time-sensitive deadlines.
What you will do:
- You will be responsible for updating and maintaining the RFP database to ensure that it includes current answers for typical RFP, DDQ, and RFI questions. To update content, the Analyst will be required to contact leaders in IMS operations, solutions and SEI functional areas including IT, cybersecurity, risk management as examples to ensure content is current. The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining current information about SEI corporate and IMS divisional information, including financial data, asset breakdown, employee headcount, and other organizational information.
- You will gain in-depth knowledge of IMS' business units and the investment vehicles and strategies that they support: Alternatives: private equity, private debt and hedge funds. Traditional: mutual funds, ETFs, collective investment trusts, managed accounts, and the Advisors' Inner Circle Fund, our turnkey mutual fund series trust.
- You will learn about IMS operational platform and the technologies/applications that support it, including fund accounting/administration, middle office, regulatory & compliance solutions, data management, and other solutions and services.
- You will support the RFP Manager to help them complete individual or multiple RFPs with conflicting, time-sensitive deadlines.
- Over time, you will take responsibility for all DDQs and RFIs from start-to-finish by gathering key information required to complete and meet their aggressive deadlines.
- You will update and maintain all appendices and attachments that typically accompany RFPs, DDQs and RFIs.

What we need from you:
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business administration or information technology.
- Strong written communication skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and expertise in database management experience.
- Excellent project management skills
- Some knowledge of traditional and alternative investment vehicles (e.g., mutual funds, ETFs, CITs, private equity, private debt and hedge funds) is preferred.
- Some knowledge of common asset classes and portfolio strategies used by investment managers is preferred.
- Must be comfortable working with conflicting, tight deadlines. Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must have a "can-do" attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn about Traditional and Alternative investment vehicles and the operations/technology that support them.
- Must have the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), sales, service and marketing professionals to complete tasks associated with RFPs, DDQs, and RFIs.
- As the needs of our clients change, you must be comfortable with evolving and changing priorities and deliverables.
- Attention to detail to ensure that all deliverables consistently meet the highest standard of quality and accuracy.
