SeKON is looking for an IT Asset Manager to join our talented and innovative team supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in San Antonio, TX. The mission of DHA is developing a deployment and sustainment strategy to optimize the delivery of a modernized EHR with minimal disruption to the military health care community. This role is mostly remote, but will require some time on site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the management of all commercial off-the-self (COTS) Software product requests beginning with the initial receipt and review of the Software Request through the procurement, tracking, and maintenance of license agreement.
- Review’s software requests for the potential of leveraging other existing license agreements and for available products in SDD or LCM inventory.
- Participates in discussions with Product Teams and Leadership regarding COTS SW license agreements, requirements for future license agreements, and any COTS SW products supporting their products and/or systems.
- Communicate with product support personnel or applicable department support personnel regarding their requirements and product request.
- Track COTS SW licenses and/or media transfers to SDD Configuration Management and all other relevant parties.
- Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Follow through with vendors and Humana Associates to obtain identified savings.
- Enter and maintain information in a database (Flexera Flexnet) format to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost. Assist in the development of reporting to address management requirements to obtain information.
- Accountable for procurements of licenses at the enterprise level through the process of LCMS for DHA customers by collecting, analyzing, maintaining, and managing the software inventory to enable collaboration that reduces the life cycle costs and risk of all IT assets deployed.
- Respond to requests from end-users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information, support issues, and software fixes.
- Manage and direct all SDD Government Purchase Card (GPC) actions for each quarter and ensure funding is available.
- Prepare contracting packages to include some or all items for procurement: Quote, Government Cost Estimate (IGCE), Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM), Justification and Approval (J&A), AND Market Research (MR).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Eligible for a Public Trust Clearance.
- Knowledge of Information Technology software.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience.
- Experience interpreting licensing/contract terms and conditions.
- Organizational skills and managing multiple priorities and/or projects.
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to communicate at every level of the organization.
- Ability to exercise judgement and to work independently
