SeKON is looking for a Network Engineer to join our talented and innovative team supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The mission lifecycle of DHMS is to competitively acquire, test, deliver and successfully transition to a state-of-the-market electronic health record (EHR) system. In partnership with the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Services and Industry, DHMS is developing a deployment and sustainment strategy to optimize the delivery of a modernized EHR with minimal disruption to the military health care community. Due to COVID-19, this role is 100% remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as a key participant in coordinating all aspects of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) release lifecycle including network/system environment set-up, test, and release/deployment activities of a Commercial of the Shelf (COTs) product line.
- Manage timely resolution of critical and/or complex technical problems within IT platforms and network enclaves.
- Coordinate with other engineering professionals to provide Enterprise Service technical implementation support in a broad area of technology such as compute and storage (Cloud/Private/Hybrid), virtualization, directory services, enterprise management, cyber, and network routing for multiple client configurations in preparation for Go-Live events.
- Identify business and technical risks, gaps, and opportunities affecting the site’s "Go Live" event.
- Validation of technical requirements, system integration, and system interface to include interpretation of documentation and change management requirements.
- Work on multiple site deployment projects and teams concurrently within deadlines while ensuring that complex information is conveyed in a clear, accurate, and concise manner under normal and in crises.
- Preparation and delivery of executive presentations to live audiences at all levels.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must have DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Certifications in one or more of the following industry competencies; Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSE (Solutions Engineer), ISC2 SSCP OR combination of CompTIA Network , Security , A
- 5-7 years demonstrated experience in certification(s) field
- Experience in preparation for system deployment transition to assist other system engineers in troubleshooting network issues
- Must have good communication skills and have experience building partnerships with teammates, customers, and other vendors
- Skill in the use of various types of office automation to includes Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and Access)
- Superior verbal and written communication and customer service skills including presenting to senior government officials
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with customers and program office members in a multi-vendor environment
