Overview
Select Physical Therapy is currently seeking a Part Time Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)/Injury Prevention Specialist in Des Moines, IA
This role will be responsible for providing first aid and managing early symptom intervention for industrial employees. These manufacturing plant contracts covered will mostly be in the Pella/Knoxville area but would require flexibility to potentially add more sites.
Compensation: commensurate with experience, starting at $24-$35/hr
Hours: This role can be two shorter shifts per week of 5 hours each shift, or one longer 8 hour day depending on candidate preference.

Responsibilities
- OnSite coverage for industrial customer under the direction of Account/Program Manager
- Services will be provided for field workers and require you to be outside during this time
- Early Symptom Intervention with providing first aid services
- Ergonomic risk assessment and implementation of ergonomic solutions
- Documentation of injuries
- Ergonomics
- Health and wellness consultation
- Data collection
Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Athletic Training or Exercise Science
- National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification (if applicable)
- State license (if ATC)
- Minimum one year clinical experience, industrial setting experience a plus
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions
