NovaCare Rehabilitation and Select Physical Therapy are a part of Select Medical's Outpatient Division. We are a nationally prominent, locally driven provider of outpatient physical rehabilitation with over 1600 locations in 39 states, including the District of Columbia. Throughout the country we operate primarily as Select Physical Therapy, NovaCare Rehabilitation, Physio, Kessler Rehabilitation Center, KORT, Saco Bay Physical Therapy, Concentra, SSM Physical Therapy and Keystone Physical Therapy. Our highly respected clinical team provides preventative and rehabilitative services that maximize functionality and promote well-being. Responsibilities:
The Work Strategies Specialist is responsible for the development and delivery of on-site injury prevention and ergonomic services. This position assists in increasing revenues, through on-site services and maximizing center based Work Strategies services when available and assists the sales team in identifying, qualifying and closing new business opportunities.

Essential Functions:
- Develop, coordinate and implement the Work Strategies onsite programs at assigned locations

Design, implement and deliver all onsite services including, but not limited to:
- Injury Trend Analysis
- Work Risk Analysis
- Work Task Analysis
- Workstation Analysis
- Worksite Education programs
- Pre-placement and/or Post offer testing
- Onsite Intervention
- Assist in developing a strategic plan for local market designed to meet the Work Strategies program’s fiscal performance, quality and delivery goals.
- Monitor metrics established for onsite on a monthly basis and implement corrective action plans in conjunction with operations management
- Identify and communicate clinical training needs to Work Strategies Manager
- Provide local training, support and coach clinical staff to meet the needs of the Work Strategies program, including, but not limited to orienting new employees and conduct regular in-services to keep staff current in Work Strategies issues.
- Participate in CEU Education programs
- Coordinate all Work Strategies marketing activities with sales
- Track results of employer relationships with cost benefit analysis
- Provide internal case management activities to ensure effective communication, intensive programs and rapid return to work/full function
- Facilitate continuum of services from onsite to clinic based services
- Assist in the development of new industrial opportunities at and local level and communicate these opportunities to National Director of Work Strategies and Outpatient Management
- Other duties as assigned
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy, human physiology, exercise physiology, and kinesiology or biomechanics.
- Working knowledge of ergonomic regulations Demonstrated ability to provide clinical teaching and in-services.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills at multiple levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to evaluate and monitor clinical capabilities and skill levels.
- Strong customer service orientation Understanding of and ability to manage quantitative business and clinical information
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
- Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
- Fine motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing patients, equipment and supplies for treatment.
- Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws.
- Ability to independently lift fifty (50) pounds of weight
Preferred and Required Credentials:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Degree in fitness, exercise, or healthcare related discipline OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years experience in Industrial Rehabilitation preferred Industry and state specific certifications/clearances to perform job duties
- Previous sales experience preferred
