Job Description
Select’s Land Specialists work directly with the Operations Teams to acquire authorizations and permits for surface and pipeline right of ways.
The Specialist will ensure all processes and procedures are completed in accordance with governmental permits and landowner agreements.
Assist in right of way and water transfer routes. This position also supports daily operations, business analysis, market strategy, sales and various development initiatives.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Permitting / access, BLM, NM State Land Office, NM DOT and county permitting.
- Landowner relations and customer support.
- Relations and customer support for various other entities with rights-of-way to be utilized.
- Assist in water permitting with local, state & federal agencies for ground water, surface water and wastewater.
- Utilize Google Earth, Arc GIS and other GIS systems to map potential routes, land ownership and water sources.
- Read and analyze survey routes and plat maps.
- Record sales, transfer volumes, and other activities in an organized and efficient manner to meet internal and regulatory requirements.

- Ability to identify and map field locations including but not limited to :
- Pipeline routes and water recycling facilities
- Oil drilling and hydraulic fracturing operations
- BLM, State and Private Lands
- Roads and highways
- Proficient with use of Microsoft systems including Word, Excel and Teams.
- This position requires self-awareness and initiative.
- Knowledge of principles for presenting expectations to management, customers, and landowners.
- Demonstrated ability to provide the highest level of customer services to internal and external customers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and attention to detail.
- Aptitude to learn new software and skills quickly.
- Familiar with water transfer equipment and logistics.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task, manage changing priorities and work independently with little or no supervision.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must possess valid drivers’ license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to Select’s insurance guidelines.

Compensation Information
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Physical Demands and Exposures
- Traditional Monday through Friday, 7 4 pm, unless operational tempo and requirements dictate otherwise.
- Position requires both office and field work.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking and driving.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
