We are seeking a Junior IT Support Specialist to join our team and provide technical support to our staff, as well as serve as a local representative of the IT group in our headquarters in Budapest. Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users for computer hardware, software, and network-related issues to staff through phone, email, and in-person channels
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications and operating systems
- Set up and maintain user accounts in Active Directory and Office 365
- Assist with the setup and configuration of Windows servers
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including DNS and firewall settings
- Respond to user inquiries and resolve technical problems in a timely manner
- Document all support activities and solutions in ticketing system (Jira)
- Conduct routine maintenance on computers, printers, and other peripherals
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
- Assist with the administration of user accounts and permissions
- Provide support for audio and video conferencing systems
- Provide Production IT support, including production system computer setup and implementation of customer-specific IT requirements
- Serve as a local representative of the IT group in our headquarters in Budapest, ensuring that local IT needs are met and communicating with the global IT team on local issues and initiatives
Requirements:
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols and troubleshooting techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with Active Directory administration and user management
- Experience with computer hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of DNS configuration and management
- Familiarity with ticketing systems; Jira familiarity is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
