Overview
Director, Casino Marketing Analytics – SHRSS
This position is responsible for performing financial, operational, and other technical ad-hoc analysis for Casino Marketing within both the Seminole Gaming (SGA) and Hard Rock International (HRI) organizations. This position specializes in using data and technical skills to contribute to the improvement of a departments’ efficiencies both operationally and financially.
Responsibilities
- Position reports directly to the SVP, Casino Marketing (SHRSS)
- Build out reports to manage tracking of Bonus / Incentive programs for Casino Host teams
- Assist VP, Casino Marketing and CM Manager in oversight of customer coding in CMP and CRM tool
- Assist VP, Casino Marketing Innovation when needed with build out of CRM tool
- Utilizes SQL to collect data from various databases in order to develop reports and perform ad-hoc analysis on projects requested by departmental management
- Create variety of monthly reports or pull reports if available in Tableau, CRM tool, etc. as it pertains to: Ethnic Business Growth, Cross Property Play, Host Production, Plane / Helicopter Utilization, Customer Reactivation Reports, etc.
- Identify, develop, and contribute to key strategic departmental initiatives through the application of leading analytical insights and operational reviews
- Communicates financial and operational results to: Managers, Directors, and Executive Team
- Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting across multiple departments and properties within Seminole Gaming
- Develops appropriate financial and operating metrics for use by management in decision making
- Takes lead on ad-hoc projects and provides support to other analysts’ projects as needed
- If needed, develops and maintains advanced Excel tools utilizing PowerPivot and VBA
- Validates results in order to ensure reporting accuracy
- Communicates effectively with all levels of management
- Supports the annual budgeting process
- Supports business and financial planning, includes short and long term forecasting #LI-DA1
Qualifications
Bachelor or Associate’s degree required in the area of Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Business Management. Requires 2 years of related business experience as a business/financial analyst or similar position. Prefer 2 years of experience within the casino hotel industry.
- Must have 5 years of experience using Microsoft SQL
- Must have a high proficiency level with Microsoft Excel
- Forecasting experience preferred, but not required
- VBA experience preferred, but not required
- Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret employee business needs and translate them into operational requirements
- Self-sufficient, requiring some limited supervision over job knowledge, expectations, and successful project completion
- Highly personable, able to easily articulate information and build strong relationships across multiple internal departments and potentially multiple external properties
- Must possess ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Must be very detail-oriented
- Must possess the ability to define problems, collect/sort/manipulate large amounts of data from multiple sources, establish facts, test theories, and draw valid conclusions
Work Environment:
Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
