The Recruiter is responsible for facilitating key functions related to the recruitment, hiring and onboarding process of new employees. He or she will have their pulse on the candidate experience from recruiting through onboarding to orientation, as well as playing a key role in employee retention. Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Recruit high volume, top industry talent with and intense emphasis on hiring quality caregivers and caregiver retention
- Prepare and post open positions across multiple channels (i.e., job boards, college/university career pages, and social platforms)
- Manage ATS data and ensure candidate status and notes are current
- Using efficient processes and best practices, screen candidates and applicants, assess qualifications for jobs, schedule interviews for candidates ensuring a timely process and an excellent candidate experience
- Oversee the complete onboarding process of new employees to include timely completion of all new hire documents, background checks, and required tests and certifications.
- Schedule candidates for a new hire orientation class.
- Conduct new hire orientations ensuring new hires are welcomed and ensure new hire files are complete. Work to create an outstanding new hire orientation experience
- Ensure a smooth handoff to the Care Coordinators and an excellent candidate experience.
- Meet weekly and monthly hiring goals. Post jobs, screen candidates, schedule interviews, attend community recruiting events and job fairs, organize recruiting events. Develop creative ideas to source candidates.
- Develop alternate sourcing strategies by identifying community resources and developing relationships that will assist in the recruitment of quality caregivers. Assist in developing a positive employment brand for Senior Home Companions.
- Attend job fairs and organize in-house recruiting events
- Stay current on industry and HR/Recruiting news and best practices and focus on overall professional development.
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process with an emphasis on creating an exceptional candidate experience. Continue those relationships into their employment to help create an exceptional employee experience culture.
- Participate in the retention program for caregivers and promote the company's reputation for being one of the "best places to work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
- Must be process and detail oriented
- Must posses a high level of judgement with strong decision making skills
- Must have a high level of integrity and handle confidential information appropriately.
- Ability to stay focused and organized in a high volume role. Must be comfortable in a metric environment,
- Exhibit supportiveness in the company's mission, vision, goals and service philosophy.
- Must have a passion for the elderly, patience and a positive attitude
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office, familiar with ATS systems and comfortable learning client care management software system
- This position is located in our Indianapolis Northside office near Keystone at the Crossing and is Monday- Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
