Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital Medical Center is hiring a Fitness Coordinator - Flex, Rotating Schedule

Job Summary

The Fitness Coordinator is responsible for supervising facility's fitness programing. The goal is to ensure programs and service line up with both the mission and values of the organization but also meet the unique needs of our membership, and our position as a Medical Fitness Center.

Fitness programing may include group-exercise, clinical exercise personal training, weight management, other retention related programs, etc.

Bachelor's degree-fitness / exercise science, health, kinesiology, recreation or related field; Master's degree preferred.

Minimum three years experience working in a wellness setting.

Current NCCA-accredited certification as a group exercise instructor or personal trainer or being willing to obtain such a certification within the first 90-days of employment.

If instructing classes, such as Yoga, Pilates, Spinning, or related specialty class must have nationally recognized certificate in those formats or proof of training in those formats.

AHA BLS obtained within 90 days of employment

Qualifications :

BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree (Required)Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQIRelated experience, Supervisory
