Sentara Healthcare is currently seeking a part-time Clinical Dietitian in our Outpatient Program.
WE HAVE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE ON CAMPUS! Growing Up at Obici is our licensed and accredited child day care center with a maximum capacity of 120 children age range 1 month - 12 years. We are open from 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.

POSITION OVERVIEW
- This is a HYBRID position; remote and on-site.
- Part Time; approximately 20 hours per week.
- Day Shift; 10am - 6pm. There may be flexibility with hours.
- After a physician referral, you will be working autonomously with patients to develop relationships and help identify nutritional problems, needs, goals, and create individualized actions plans to help foster responsibility and self-care.
- You will see approximately 4 - 5 patients per day.
- Previous experience as a Clinical Dietitian is strongly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics. If Bachelor's Degree is in a major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics.
- License / Certification: Registered Dietician (RD); Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Basic Life Support (BLS).

The primary diagnosis of our patients is related to diabetes, cardiac, and weight management. However, we provide counseling for many other medical diagnosis such as cancer, celiac disease, hyperlipidemia, gastrointestinal disorders, kidney disease, liver disease, maternity, pancreatitis.
Our outpatient program is located within Sentara Obici Hospital. We are a 175-bed community hospital founded in 1951 in the heart of Suffolk, Virginia. We relocated to a new state of the art facility in 2010. Our facility has been Magnet® designated since 2018.
