The SEPA Pain & Spine team helps patients find relief from painful and debilitating conditions, including arthritis, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, migraines, and nerve injuries. We create customized treatment plans to reduce back pain, neck pain, and joint pain, helping patients regain their independence and quality of life. As part of our commitment to providing exceptional service to our employees and patients, we are seeking a versatile individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist.
Position Overview:
As a Medical Receptionist, you'll play a crucial role in our administrative team, delivering professional and courteous front desk support at our Langhorne office. Proficiency with EMR, specifically eClinical Works (ECW), and an understanding of insurance plans are essential. You'll need strong computer skills and be a dedicated team player. Flexibility is key as we are hiring for our Langhorne office location primarily, but the position will be asked sometimes travel between our other locations to cover vacations or absences. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Check-in and check-out guests efficiently and accurately
- Respond to patient inquiries in a professional manner
- Handle administrative duties such as, scheduling appointments, coordinating with other office staff, utilizing eClinicalWorks to manage patient information and other relevant tasks
- Uphold professional standards of conduct, appearance, and communications while interacting with patients, visitors and colleagues at all times
- Process payments and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
- 1 year experience as a Front Desk Receptionist or similar role is required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in computer systems, including EMR systems and Outlook
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of EMR systems is a plus (e.g., eClinicalWorks)
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel between offices is required
Skills:
- Clerical skills: Ability to perform general clerical duties such as typing, filing, and data entry.
- Medical receptionist: Experience in a medical office setting or knowledge of medical terminology.
- Customer service: Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional service to guests.
- Customer support: Ability to assist patients with inquiries, resolve issues, and provide support.
- Phone etiquette: Professional phone manners with excellent verbal communication skills.
