The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Marketing Manager - Promotions, you will be responsible for managing Sephora’s high-impact targeted and MAB promotional campaigns. You will play a key role in the end-to-end development of promotional campaigns and identify campaign optimizations using data-driven insights. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager - Promotions, you will support our personalization efforts by driving client lifetime value, reciprocal loyalty, and omni sales for Sephora.


  • Own promo setup and tactical execution for all targeted promotions: Communicate and align with key stakeholders on new promotions and product exclusions, QA promo codes, and review campaign assets to ensure accurate and error-free execution for the optimal client experience.
  • Support Sr. Manager by building a knowledge base of the relevant Sephora MarTech stack used to enable Targeted Promotions, MAB, and Gamification including data flows and system dependencies.
  • Develop strong partnerships with the Analytics, Marketing Channels, CRM, Marketing Orchestration, Data Science, PDM, Client Services, Digital Production, and Retail teams while representing and advocating for the Promotions and Loyalty teams.
  • Support end-to-end campaign development: inclusive of developing & managing project timelines, brief inputs, forecast alignment, promo code build, intake documents, and launch plans.
  • Responsible for monitoring and hindsighting performance of campaigns & projects, with the expectation to analyze, consolidate, and socialize key wins and opportunities.
  • Support the project team by facilitating all cross-functional meetings including agenda management, and note-taking to keep the project and stakeholders on track.
  • Demonstrates ownership/investment in the work; has a clear understanding of business goals by bringing new, smarter, more efficient ways of working to the team.
  • Monitors and advocates process, proposes improvement ideas, identifies program risks early on, and discusses mitigation strategies with the manager including escalating when deliverables are at risk.

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 3 years of marketing experience
  • Hands-on experience with omnichannel targeted marketing campaigns that utilize different data sets and an understanding of data infrastructure and orchestration tools.
  • Analytical and data-driven with experience tracking performance and optimizing metrics to hit sales and profit goals.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously in a fast paced, high-volume and deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work extremely well across functions, successfully bringing people together toward common goals and to consensus.
  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational, high degree of accuracy, and project management skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and proclivity to take initiative.

The annual base salary range for this position is $78,000.00 - $100,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
