Planning, demand planning/forecasting and allocating product are the crucial first steps in the product’s journey to our clients. It takes analytical, strategic, and results-oriented inventory management professionals to build our brand partnerships, forecast client behaviors and optimize inventory levels across our network. Your role at Sephora... As our Manager Demand Planning, you will oversee and lead Demand Planning team in multiple categories while specifically responsible for SKU/channel level forecast and regular replenishment for classification. Key focus on forecast accuracy to maximize sales, decrease days on hand and optimize in stocks.
Core Job responsibilities
- Implement forecasting strategies to maximize sales, DOH (days on hand) and in-stocks. Cultivates creativity & disruption by out of the box thinking, pushing boundaries & status quo practices & rules.
- Partner and strategize with Merchandise Planning in consensus to ensure parity between bottoms up forecasts and tops down forecasts. Will seek full picture of what’s driving disparities, including the needs and perspectives of the business and our partners, to build forecasts that not only reflect the now but future needs of the business.
- Developing team of at least 3 direct reports. Help others grow. Understanding people’s strengths, needs & aspirations, pushing them to challenge their own comfort zone and providing support to help them reach their potential.
- Leading total supply chain projects. Will be looked upon to take up and lead projects (set annually depending on supply chain needs) that benefit total supply chain. These projects will require collaborating with multiple other supply chain areas (Merchandise Planning, Supply Chain Strategy, Allocation, Distribution Center teams etc). Use agility and ability to manage ambiguity to break down complex problems without having the full picture.

- 10 years of forecasting/demand planning experience preferred
- Excellent technical skills - MS Office (specifically Excel, Word)
- Strong numbers aptitude; able to compile statistical reports
- Problem solving and analytical skills QUALIFICATION
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible; team player
The annual base salary range for this position is $128,435.00 - $143,545.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
