Related Experience: Previous maintenance experience
Training: Basic training in construction, including wiring, plumbing and structural / mechanical repair
Licenses & Certifications: Construction related licenses and/or certifications a plus

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. The maintenance Tech along with our custodial staff will maintain the physical appearance and integrity of our buildings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & KEY ACCOUNTABILITES
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs around building such as fixing structural and/or mechanical damage
- Performing quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems
- Assists in maintaining the groups, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris
- Checking and responding to security and safety issues - able to assist employees that stay late to their vehicles
- Help with furniture moves and installation
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Maintains clean and safe work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous maintenance experience
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
- Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active & working on building / Ability to lift objects over 50 pounds
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner
- Bi-lingual: English/ Spanish a plus
