What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Dispatcher position at Service 1st?
The Service Dispatcher's primary duty is to establish and maintain the work schedules of the service technicians and excellent communication to clients. Skills needed to be successful are; must have excellent "happy" phone skills, ability to work with little supervision and be driven to provide exceptional customer service. Computer experience is a must. Experience in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical service are helpful.
Qualifications:
- Bi-Lingual - Helpful (Spanish and English)

- Comfortable with different software and technology platforms
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming service calls including customer complaints and issues
- Prepare and coordinate daily work schedules
- Generate and dispatch work orders using dispatch software
- Communicate with customers, field, office and sales personnel and other departments for successful coordination and follow-up
- Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations
- Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines
- Able to work around a constantly adjusting schedule and priorities
- Managing multiple field personnel
- With basic technical understanding of Plumbing, HVAC/R systems to distinguish between routine and emergency service needs, as well as determine level of need
- Match work requested to technician availability and skillset
Experience:
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish and English)
- 2-5 years of relevant dispatching experience.
- Familiarity with the construction industry and basic principles of plumbing and mechanical (HVAC/R) systems.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with a formal service based dispatch/enterprise application preferred
- Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
- Have an excellent attendance record at prior employment.
Physical Demands:
- Sitting, standing and bending; repetitive motions of hands and wrists due to frequent computer use, speak clearly.
- Some lifting will be required
