Position Summary
Our Day Porters know that the countless small details end up making a big impression on our clients. It’s their organization, attention to detail and overall care for their work that reinforces our position as the Bay Area's leading Facility Maintenance company. They are empowered to work and do what needs to be done. Whether delivering on client requests, cleaning rooms and public spaces, or other similar responsibilities, our Day Porters are experts in making sure we deliver on our commitment to service excellence.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Dusting desks, chairs, counters, blinds and furniture
- Cleans lobbies, reception or any other assigned areas designed by the supervisor
- Dusting
- Vacuuming
- Spot cleaning
- Refilling supplies and dispensers
- Empty wastebaskets & recycling bins
- Spot mop floors as necessary
- Wipe down tables and chairs
- Assist other janitorial staff for special projects and/or perform any duties as directed by the supervisor
- Clean using appropriate methods, equipment and chemicals by following our established processes and procedures
- Follow company health and safety rules and wear protective equipment when and where applicable
- Follow all established company policies, protocols, and guidelines
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Requirements:
- Valid CA Driver’s License and clean MVR
- Must have own transportation as the position may require travel to various locations
- Basic knowledge of standard janitorial duties, cleaning techniques, products and equipment preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience in lieu of
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as but not limited to safety data sheets (SDS), operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, etc.
- Must be able to effectively understand and to carry out instructions furnished in English in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to multitask in a fast pace work environment
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) highly preferred
