Job Summary
Provide effective customer service and achieve customer satisfaction by delivering military Human Resources (HR) in a professional, courteous, and timely manner for our Military Personnel Support Services Contract with Joint Base Langley-Eustis and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story located in Newport News and Virginia Beach, Virginia.

DEERS Site Security Manager
Performs Verifying Official duties
Runs and reviews audit reports
Manages users, security, cardstock, consumables and maintains the site's address information for the RAPIDS Site Locator system.
Handles special cases with the project office and provide escalated customer assistance
Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested (in accordance with all applicable policies and regulations to include RAPIDS User Guide, AFI 36-3026, VOIS, PWS, company and local policies).
Additional Responsibilities
Document, authorize overrides in the event a CAC recipient does not have proper identification documents
Validate the identity of individuals whose fingerprints cannot be captured Manage the RAPIDS online appointment schedule
Be familiar with Survivor Benefits program and assist casualty/survivors/Gold Star families.
Enforce policy and procedure compliance
Assist with training new VOs; observe and document performance
Manage the RAPIDS online appointment schedule
Process Agent Letters
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
One to two years experience in an office environment and Military Human Resources services required.
Must be able to pass and obtain a government DoD personnel security clearance required.
Previous experience as a Verifying Official (VO) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be able to work well with people internally and externally at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to become familiar with any new military HR programs as legacy systems are phased out.
Possess proficiency and knowledge across a variety of military human resources (HR) functional areas.
Must have basic knowledge and experience with the Privacy Act of 1974.
Must possess basic knowledge of related HQDA governing directives, HR personnel policies, and installation-level operating procedures.
Must possess effective customer service skills; ability to participate and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries, negotiations, complaints and team activities.
Detail-oriented and able to carry out work with the highest levels of accuracy.
Good written and verbal communication skills Including professional phone etiquette.
Good interpersonal skills.
Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, regulation and directives.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
