They may keep track of signing visitors in and out and monitor incoming deliveries. Security officers generally assist with providing guests with information and directions. Employees protect the property and its inhabitants from fire risks and other safety violations. They respond to emergency situations by communicating with emergency personnel and potentially handling physical threats by restraining offenders. They may also maintain parking regulations and ensure parking lot security. It is important for a security officer to be aware and alert at all times, constantly being aware of risks and concerns.
