Seva Healthcare LLC is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in Sterling, VA assists developmental disability individuals with daily living activities in the home. Their duties may include assisting individuals in the acquisition, retention, and improvement of skills related to activities of daily living, such as personal grooming, household chores, eating and food preparation, doing laundry, making beds, and other social adaptive skills necessary to enable the person to reside in the community.
Looking for Day shifts and Overnight.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Valid driver license and clean driving record.
Preferable CPR & First Aid, MEDTHEC and TOVA.
One or Two (2) years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders.
Behavior Management
Individual should have the
-Knowledge of simple nursing care such us monitoring blood pressures, first-aid, behavior management, personal and environmental hygiene.
-implement and follow the policies and procedures of the department, facility or service entity.
-to engage in the care, training and rehabilitation of physically and developmentally disabled clients or mentally ill.
-to provide basic nursing care to include monitoring blood pressures, personal care and hygiene.
-to perform established training, care and programmatic activities.
-to support clients eating, bathing, dressing, grooming and other self- care skills.
-to participate with professional staff in the design and implementation of training and programmatic activities.
-to observe the rights and personal dignity of others.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)

- Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
