Job Title: Nursery Registered Nurse

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursery Registered Nurse to join our team at a reputable healthcare facility in Canton, GA. As a Nursery RN, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care for newborns and infants, while ensuring their safety and well-being. This position offers an attractive hourly rate of $55.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for newborns and infants in the nursery unit.
- Provide hands-on care and perform assessments to monitor the health status of newborns, including vital signs, feeding, and diaper changes.
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Observe infants for any signs of distress, infection, or other complications, and provide appropriate interventions promptly.
- Educate parents on proper infant care techniques, feeding methods, and breastfeeding support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including nursing assessments and interventions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as pediatricians and lactation consultants, to ensure consistent and comprehensive care for newborns and infants.
- Provide emotional support to parents and families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements, research, and best practices in neonatal nursing and nursery care.

Requirements:

- Valid RN license in the state of Georgia.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maternity or nursery nursing.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Knowledge of newborn care and development, including the ability to identify potential complications or abnormalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle emergency situations.
