We are currently seeking an experienced Med/Surg Psych RN to join our team in Rochester, New York. As a Med/Surg Psych RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans based on patient needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and clinical staff to develop and implement treatment plans
- Monitor and report changes in patient status
- Provide education to patients and families about medical and psychiatric conditions and treatments
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Requirements:
- Active RN license in the state of New York
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg Psych nursing
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
