Job Description:
We are currently seeking a RN Med/Surg to join our team in Gettysburg, PA. This is a full-time position and the ideal candidate must be passionate and experienced in providing top-notch patient care in a med/surg setting. As a member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering quality care to patients and providing support to their families.
Key Responsibilities:
-Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitoring patient vital signs/condition and responding to changes in a timely and effective manner
- Documenting accurate and detailed medical history of patients
- Coordinating with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient care plans
- Educating patients and their families about their medical condition and self-care management
- Assisting physicians and other healthcare providers during medical procedures
- Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with legal requirements
Qualifications:
- Active RN License in the state of Pennsylvania
- At least 2 years of experience in Med/Surg nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize patients based on acuity levels
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
