Support Advocate is a direct support professional (DSP) position at Seven Hills Foundation. The perfect staff would enjoy helping people with their independence and in a way that maintains their dignity. They would be compassionate and understand that the population we support are people and have their own minds, wants and feelings. Just like anyone, they may need help with communicating certain feelings and staff should want to be role models in expressing them. We have positions available in many cities and towns throughout the North Shore!
They help support individuals to achieve their independence in their home.
These tasks can include:
· Helping individuals clean their space
· Helping to prepare meals
· Helping residents complete their ADL's.
· Engaging in activities both in the home & in the community
· Teaching self-care skills, cooking meals and doing laundry.
· Assisting clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and dressing
· Helping plan client appointments and organize a schedule
· Organizing with transportation arrangements to appointments
· Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs
· Encouraging client engagement in social networks and communities

Seven Hills Foundation is hiring Direct Care Workers, Residential Counselors & Residential Managers for all shifts. These Direct Support Professionals will:
§ Be comfortable taking the initiative.
§ Make use of best practices & strategies for success for the benefit of all residents.
§ Facilitate outings & activities to help residents enjoy their favorite parts of life
§ An ideal staff member at this home
o Would be able to work as a team.
o Would be attentive to the way the individuals communicate

The staff and management all work together as a team to make sure the home is a clean and safe environment for our individuals. The individuals are all very sweet and loving people and enjoy interaction with the staff and each other.
GET PAID FOR ALL THIS & MORE! We have a pay rate of $19.00!!!
Examples of full-time schedules:
Sun: 3pm-11p; Mon: 12pm-8pm; Tue: 3pm-11pm; Wed: 12pm-8pm; Thu: 12pm-8pm =40 Hrs; (staff meeting 1st Thursday of the month).
Thurs/Fri 11p-9a, Sat 11p-3p (overnight into Sunday morning). Mandatory Staff meeting 1st Thursday of the month 12:30-2:30pm 36.5 hours/week
Examples of part-time schedules:
Sunday 9a-4p, Monday through Wednesday 6a-9a; Staff meeting 1st Thursday of the month 12:30p-2:30p; 16.5hrs
Tuesday 9a-3p, Thursday 6a-3p, Friday 6a-9a, Saturday 10a-11p; Staff meeting 1st Thursday of the month 12:30p to 2:30p (31 hours/wk)
Support Advocates are provided a paid 5-day New Employee Orientation and receive training on CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP).They also receive program-specific training at the worksite.
Many positions also have a sign-on bonus!
