Stetson School, an affiliate of the Seven Hills Foundation is hiring a Health and Wellness Activity Specialist.
The Health and Wellness Activities Specialist reports to the Residential Director. This candidate will oversee Stetson School’s Fitness Center and develops, coordinates, and leads campus health and fitness initiatives for students and staff. Collaborate with the Phys Ed teacher to develop and implement fitness programs for the students and to follow during school and residences.
essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Train students and staff of proper use of the fitness center and equipment
· Attend treatment team meetings or other relevant meetings assigned by the Residential Director
· Work 1:1 with identified youth in need of wellness support.
· Develop group programs to be led by the specialist to occur while in the residential milieu.
· Provide guidance and support to staff using the fitness center.
· Develop programs for staff as requested.
· Create campus wide health and wellness initiatives to help improve the overall wellbeing of staff.
· Keep thorough logs of maintenance and safety checks
· Maintain equipment according to manufactures instructions
The Health and Wellness Activities Specialist is provided a paid 10-day New Employee Orientation and receive training on CPR/First Aid, Crisis Prevention Intervention & Trauma-Informed Care. They also receive program-specific training at the worksite.

Education and /or experience:
· Bachelor's degree in field such as physical education, kinesiology, or sports medicine
· Personal training certification by an accredited program in adolescent, teenage, and adult fitness
· Experience providing fitness related activities and services for adolescents and older children
· Preferred experience working with troubled children and /or adolescents
Requirements:
· Current Massachusetts Driver’s License
· Must pass and maintain CPI and CPR certification.
· Must pass Criminal, DCF Abuse and Neglect, Sex offender Registry and Federal
· Fingerprinting background record checks.
Preferred Requirements:
· Able to work under high stress situations.
· Work well with others
· Great Time management skills
· Experience working with special education students.
· Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the Stetson team.
