Seven Seas Roasting Company is looking for one Closing Shift Supervisor to join our 9 person strong team. This is a Full-Time position **Sunday Availibity Required**
We are looking for someone passionate about crafting high quality specialty coffee and helping our team develop their knowledge in the craft. People with a sense of urgency, a mind towards organization / cleanliness standards, and a confident supervisor who can supervise and direct employees to uphold store standards.
Supervise Baristas in all aspects of daily operations in a retail store to achieve targeted productivity, inventory control, sales, and efficiency.
Major Qualifications: (include but are not limited to):
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, and all other components of customer service.
- Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements.
- Demonstrates salesmanship skills by maintaining sales productivity levels.
- Assists in active recruiting, selection, training, scheduling, and evaluation of store personnel.
- Monitors deliveries of product movement within the store to ensure effective inventory and merchandise management.
- Has working knowledge of Manual Espresso Machines and Grinder Calibration. (We use Sanremo Naked Racer Mahlkonig)
- Has Basic understanding of Coffee flavor profiles by Region.
Control Expenses
- Protect Company assets within guidelines of 7 Seas Retail policies.
- Assist in preparation of store schedules that provide proper store coverage and are within the Company guidelines for wage control.
- Follow all policies to accurately manage store inventory including receiving, transferring, completing price changes and conducting product counts.
- Perform proper documentation and record keeping per LIDS Retail policies as well as state and federal laws.
- Open and close the store as required following the procedures per the Operations Manual.
- Support and adhere to all 7 Seas policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Supervise Associates
- Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations, coffee knowledge, and procedures.
- Encourage store associates’ direct compliance of established company policies, procedures and guidelines including (but not limited to) safekeeping of company inventory, funds and property.
- Communicate with employees at all levels of the company.
- Direct Floor Flow during Peak Periods
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 Year Specialty Coffee Experience
- Reliable form of Transportation
- Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
