This role will be a key contributor in shaping Sevita’s benefit offerings, policies, and strategies including design and development of new plans, maximizing operational efficiencies, maintaining compliance with ongoing regulatory changes, and communicating benefits programs to HR, and management, and employees.

This position is 100% remote and can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with VP Total Rewards to establish short and long-term benefits strategy
  • Oversees all existing health and welfare and retirement plans and serve as lead for development of new health and welfare and retirement plans.
    • Ensures Benefits platform and portal are engaging and effective in communicating to employees,
    • Ensures Benefit programs, are cost-effective and managed effectively.
    • Oversees communications for all Sevita benefit plans.
    • Supports M&A team for Due Diligence for acquisitions.
    • Responsible for third-party benefits administration vendors, to negotiate best pricing and value for our employees. Ensure positive employee experience with third-party benefit providers
  • Partnering with legal counsel, ensure benefits policies comply with federal, state, and local laws (including, but not limited to, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA), and that all plan filings and audits are performed to maintain plan qualification.
  • Partners with HR Leadership to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness of strategies, policies, and procedures. Develop communications and change management plan with any new benefits offerings
  • Participates in the implementation of network wide projects as they relate to group benefits including working with third-party vendors to ensure all employee communications are deployed to our online tools.
  • Participates in HR Service Center initiatives and delivery of services
  • Manages multiple direct reports including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. This position reports to the VP of Total Rewards.
Qualifications:
  • BA degree, preferably in Business, HR, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in benefit plan structure and administration.
  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
  • Experience working in a large complex organization preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and stakeholders while meeting tight deadlines; demonstrated ability to be detail oriented while also focusing on the big picture; maintain a strategic focus while addressing tactical needs.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with a range of stakeholders, externally and within the organization.
  • Strong financial acumen regarding all aspects of self-funded plans including key cost drivers and developing targeted interventions.
  • Travel: Must be willing and able to travel as needed (less than 10% travel on annual basis anticipated).
