Job Description
- Works with country, businesses, and functions to develop improvement opportunities that can increase the profitability of SGS Group.
- Maintain regular contacts with country management (operations and functions) to increase awareness for O2B initiatives.
- Support the implementation of Group initiatives and monitors progress on O2B KPI’s (pricing strategy, discounts and rebates, pricelist management, CPI adjustment, price increases and invoicing processes).
- Ensure completion of deliverables and adherence to timeline including tracking milestones.
- Co-ordinates the billing team and meets SGS (Group and In-Country) deadlines and KPI’s.
- Ensures that the required levels of Internal Controls are in place through the billing process.
- Collaborates and communicates with operational management (General Manager and Business Manager) and other key stakeholder (such as IT) of the process.
- Primary point of contact for any internal and external billing audits.
- Drives and monitors the implementation of the O2B Golden Rules to control and optimize the Un-Billed Revenue (UBR)/ Work in Progress (WIP) levels.
- Maximizes efficiency and effectiveness of the billing process, in compliance with the Global End to End Order-to-Cash (O2C) process and Finance Transformation initiatives.
- Reports and escalates any deviation or gaps in the process.
- Designs and implements the appropriate training to support the billing life-cycle processes.
- Reconciles billable items vs. invoicing with operations.
- Reviews and monitors credit notes and route cause prepared for internal approvals to minimize the revenue impact.
- Prepares and completes invoicing for complex clients.
- Creates an environment that facilitates open communication with team members and acts in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with the team and other departments (business partnering).
- Monitoring and balancing the team’s daily workflow processes to ensure the departments efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
- Minimum (7) years demonstrated experience managing large transactional teams (>9).
- Demonstrated leadership experience running high volume billing transactions across multiple business lines will be essential, with an organization of comparable size and complexity.
- People first mindset. Lead with care, aim to develop and empower staff, communicate openly and proactively with the Billings team. Be visible.
- Passion for customer service and strong operational management skills. Identifies Billing as a service.
- University Degree in Finance/ Accounting (desirable).
- Experience in Oracle Order Management, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger (desirable).
