Job Description
SUMMARY
Sr. Technical Manager oversees various technical and quality assurance aspects of Over the Air, Wireless RF, EMC standards, support lab for A2LA audits and scope expansions, participate on CTIA working groups, ensure that all policies and procedures including the maintenance of training, calibration, and testing records are adhered to, work with global key Account assigned in the Silicon Valley region.
JOB FUNCTIONS

- Strong foundation in RF/OTA system level and a demonstrable passion for building new Technologies for modern wireless communication systems such as cellular / GNSS / WiFi / Bluetooth etc.
- Oversee and provide technical support for PTCRB/GCF/OTA related activities.
- Oversee and provide technical support for Wireless and EMC regulatory.
- Occasionally support the laboratory and clients with hands-on testing activities
- Support lab for A2LA audits and scope expansions.
- Headed CTIA Audit submission package for CATL accreditation
- Updated and maintained SOP for the latest CTIA test plans.
- Oversee lab quality activities and improvements.
- Provide coaching and mentoring for Wireless Group team members.
- Do technical review for the sales team and provide them with quotes.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline, Master's degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in Antenna, RF or Electromagnetics is preferred.
- 12 year experience in a technical/engineering discipline and 7 years related experience
- Preferred Training as follows:
- Proficiency with WiFi/BT, GPS, Cellular, and legacy radio access technologies desired.
- Experience with RF system specification and wireless communication standards.
- Experience with regulatory requirements and processes for wireless consumer devices, including FCC, PTCRB, CTIA, ETSI, TIA/EIA, etc.
- Experience with anechoic chambers and RF test equipment as well as hands-on experience.
- Strong working knowledge of radiation performance, antenna and wave propagation theoretical background.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills required.
- 7 years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrate team leadership
