What are the responsibilities and job description for the CPWS Sales Consultant Off Premise Columbia, MO position at SGWS?
Ensures the execution of sales plans, shelf and cold box placements, pricing and display opportunities in their assigned accounts. This position requires execution of sales plans and special promotions towards the achievement of predetermined sales goals. Service of these customers may also include actual placement of temporary and permanent point of sale material within the retail account.
Represent Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits in a Professional Manner.
Solicits sales in assigned accounts to achieve objectives through evaluation of new business opportunities and voids in present sales/service levels
Ensures the development of existing accounts through selling in of displays
Introduces new products and new promotions and provides service to assigned customers
Maintains total territory account calls as assigned
Handles all customer problems in a timely and efficient manner within Company guidelines
Advises District Sales Manager of service problems encountered
Handles all paperwork and reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner
Extensive travel (70% - 85%) by automobile. Daily driving may involve driving distances of up to 200 miles.
Coordinates with store managers to assure the correct quantity of Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits products are ordered to prevent out of stock situations
Monitor and track pricing, displays on a weekly basis.
Insure accuracy of invoices and pricing.
Motivate your store personnel to want to push and display Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits brands over the competition.
Attends all scheduled meetings and training sessions
Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all level of management
Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, other business areas and government agencies as required
Demonstrated high level proficiency of oral and written communication skills
Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
1 year field experience in selling alcoholic beverages or grocery products at the retail level.
Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
Ability to secure and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws.
Ability to secure and maintain a State Sales Permit in accordance with state laws
21 years of age or older.
Physical demands with activity or condition existing of a substantial amount of time amount of time include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping
May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 40 lbs
