Job Description
Stagecoach Inn is looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our beautiful historical boutique hotel in Salado, Texas.
This person will report to the General Manager of the property and is responsible for assisting the GM in supervising hotel staff and activities, ensuring that guests experience true Texan hospitality while running a smooth and profitable business.
It is important for the hotel manager to be involved in all aspects of the hotel operations. This role is responsible for creating SOPs, implementation and training staff, strategizing and providing staff with support. You will be a key person of reference for employees and guests.
The hotel manager must be able to guide the employees to work as a well-functioning team and provide a positive employee experience while meeting and exceeding expectations. The ideal candidate will be a team player and an effective leader, able to set examples and foster a climate of cooperation.
The goal is to enhance customer service and create repeat business by strengthening our hotel’s reputation.
Responsibilities
- Audit departments and provide support at all levels (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance) and set clear objectives
- Plan and allocate responsibilities to achieve the most efficient operation
- Manage budgets, labor and interpret financial information and monitor sales and profits
- Assist in the development and implementation of SOPs to streamline workflow and promote hotel’s services
- Actively identify inefficiencies and present solutions
- Communicate with customers when appropriate (welcome them in the facilities, address their complaints, find solutions to problems, offer information etc.)
- Proactively manage maintenance issues, shortages in staff or equipment, renovations etc.
- Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agencies, event/conference planners etc.
- Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance of cleanliness, service as well as health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Hotel management experience required
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Google Sheets; knowledge of hotel management software (PMS) required.
- Experienced leadership in developing and training teams.
- Excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset.
- Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
- We are a 24/7 establishment. Flexible schedule and availability is required.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Ability to remain active, stand and walk for extended periods of time, climb stairs.

- Outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail
- Degree in Business Administration, Hotel/Hospitality Management or relevant field or experience required.

Pay: $38,500.00 - $45,000.00 per year
