*Established Restaurant in Williamsburg looking for Head Chef*
We are seeking a passionate, highly motivated, and hardworking culinary professional. Someone who leads by example & understand the importance of working in a team environment.
Candidate must have the following:
-Strong and enthusiastic work ethic and excellent communication skills
-Respect for all members of staff and the ability to work well under pressure
-Ability to execute quickly and to a high standard all dishes during rush hours
-Maintain a high standard of hygiene including personal hygiene, and allergy awareness. Have NY Food Handlers Permit
-2 years manager experience
Responsibilities:
-Overseeing all Kitchen prep and service ensuring accuracy and quality of all menu items.
- Maintain inventory levels and conduct full monthly inventory
-Store and serve all food product in compliance with health and safety regulations.
-Organizes and conduct meetings with the culinary team
-Monitors team performance, product quality and production flow
-Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedules and evaluate all Back of the House staff, cross train as necessary
-Previous supervisor experience
-Ensure the kitchen is always clean and organized, equipment is properly serviced and maintained.
- Must be able to lead by example and cook professionally
- Supporting the Line as necessary/expediting service
- Menu development, scheduling, inventory, food, and labor costs
- Alert the Chef/Owner of problems before they happen, assist in resolving problems
- Lead the staff in following the standards for food handling
-Contribute to the success of the company by taking initiative, problem-solving, and always maintaining a high level of professionalism
