RN Openings Available:
Day Shift = 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
Evening Shift = 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Night Shift = 10:30 pm - 7:00 am
Compensation Range $38.50-$52.00/hr depending on experience
Summary
Provides general nursing care to patients in nursing home facility by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing standards
- Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient
- Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies the Physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents; may notify supervisor as needed
- Performs nursing assessments to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient
- Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
- Documents interventions, patient behaviors and physical assessments for assigned patients
- Initiates a patient/family-education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient/family, as prescribed by Physician
- Participates in department or unit quality improvement activities
- Other duties may be assigned
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Active, in good-standing, Registered Nurse License in the State of Colorado. Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
