Shaner has an immediate opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant to join our growing Team at the Corporate Office located in State College, PA. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the administrative support to the Corporate Human Resources Department by assisting with the day-to-day clerical tasks and special projects.
This position requires on-site work at the corporate office, a minimum of three days per week. Some hybrid/remote work may be available. Occasional travel may be required.
Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent. Some college or post-secondary education in Human Resources is preferred.
- Ability to communicate in English with guests/visitors/vendors and hotel staff to their understanding.
- Ability to provide legible communication.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to apply good judgment to carry out instructions and manage time wisely.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.
- Knowledge of basic government labor law regulations.
- Ability to compute mathematical calculations.
- Prior work experience in Human Resources / Payroll is preferred.
