What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef position at Shasa Cafe?
We are looking for a talented Chef to oversee all kitchen operations, including planning menus, training staff and purchasing food and supplies. You will expand our menu with seasonal offerings and new recipes, while exploring food safety and kitchen safety. As a Chef, we want to see that you are a team player who can work quickly with little supervision. Your main goal as our Chef is to make our customers feel at home by preparing meals from scratch using quality ingredients. This will require working effectively under pressure while managing a busy kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Execute menu items according to the recipes.
- Assist in menu creation and plan food supply and utilization.
- Follow sanitation and hygiene standards during food preparation.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure food consistency across all outlets.
- Manage kitchen equipment, staff and finances according to department standard operating procedures.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40,440.75 - $90,565.80 per year
