Responsibilities
Partner Qualification
- Enlist the support of the estimating and Field Teams in the Prequalification process, encouraging a measure of responsibility in identifying needs in a more appropriate time frame.
- Review all proposed Bid Lists for qualification status prior to publishing.
- Final review of sub-qualifications prior to Submission to owner during leveling to identify potential problems with subs being carried.
- Act as a liaison between Boston Risk Management and the West Region, eliminating lag time in the Prequalification Process and ensuring that there is appropriate follow up with all invitees.
Partner Services
- Act as a point of contact for Subcontractors. Fosters a relationship and open communication with a goal of creating better and stronger partnerships.
- Identify underutilized qualified subcontractors and encourage a more balanced approach to awarding of subcontracts.
- Participate in regular conversations between Shawmut's Estimators and Bidders regarding the outcome of Bid Submissions.
- Improve the purchasing and subcontractor selection process. Improve the subcontract base by sector.
Lists and Documents
- Create and maintain spreadsheets for all jobs where several contracts exceed thresholds.
- Utilize software to create comprehensive Bid List Templates for all sectors and areas of work.
- Create a Qualification Best Practice to add to our Intranet.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2-3 years experience within the construction industry, acting as a project admin role, coordinator, scheduling and/or within purchasing and estimating
- Highly organized, proactive attitude, inquisitive
NYC Base Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000. The range stated is specific to New York City. Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to years of experience, skills, and internal company equity.
