Growing Family Law Firm in downtown Eau Claire seeks experinced Paralegal to assist with document preparation and organization, client communiations, and daily managment of case files. Prior paralegal experience in Family Law is highly preferred.
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various legal areas such as Family Law, Guardianships, Probate, and/or Civil Litigation and possess strong administrative and clerical skills. Knowledge of legal case management software like MyCase is appreciated.
Paralegal will have direct client contact as well as work closely with Attorney.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and agreements
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the case
- Manage deadlines and appointments for attorneys
- Draft correspondence and communicate with clients
**Experience:**
- Proven experience working as a Paralegal or in a similar role
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in using legal case management software like MyCase
- Ability to file documents electronically and maintain physical filing systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
