What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Sheraton Suites?
Summary
Cook; prep, sauté, grill, fry, bake items from designated menu. Follow recipes, measure properly, work safely. Ensure professional plate presentation and excellent taste. Manage multiple orders properly, in a timely manner and ensure proper temperatures. Communicate with coworkers and staff professionally and work as a team. Utilize safe food-handling procedures. Assist with deliveries, rotating and marking product. Clean areas as requested.
Skills/Requirements
• Prior cooking experience required
• Ability to remain calm and multi-task during busy periods
• Safe food handling certification preferred
• Must be available weekends and holidays
• Must be cooperative and a team player
