Job SummaryThe Human Resource Generalist works in conjunction with the Human Resources Manager to run the daily functions of the HR Department and is responsible for a range of HR tasks with a strong emphasis on recruiting, onboarding, retention, HR Compliance, HRIS data entry and reporting, administering benefits, compensation, disability/leave administration and tracking, Worker’s Compensation administration, and maintaining confidential and up-to-date employee records.
Basic Qualifications:- 3 years work experience in Human Resources with emphasis on recruitment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- Thorough knowledge of HR related federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and practices, as well as general human resources policies and procedures.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and training experience.
- Ability to prepare, deliver and present analytical data using various computer software programs such as MS Office and other specialized software.
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Experience with Affirmative Action Plans and required tracking strongly preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- Monday through Friday.
- Salaried/Exempt position.
- Core hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
