As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the manual payroll process for approximately 500 employees on a weekly basis. You will ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, maintain accurate payroll records, and provide exceptional support to our employees. This role requires extensive experience with Paylocity and a background in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process manual payroll for 500 employees on a weekly basis using Paylocity.
- Ensure all payroll transactions are accurate and timely.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records.
- Calculate wages, bonuses, overtime, and deductions accurately.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management.
- Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
- Assist with payroll audits and other payroll-related projects as needed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Extensive experience with Paylocity payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Prior experience in the construction industry is required.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Sherpa offers benefits to contract employees who meet the following criteria:
- Must be a full-time employee (30 weekly hours/ 130 hours per month) to be eligible
