his position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the in-house function to collect delinquent receivables for commercial accounts and to process accounts through the in-house system to third party placement as required. This position will have direct customer phone contact to resolve discrepancies or disputes and effect collection of delinquent or overlimit balances. E

SSENTIAL DUTIES: *

aintain the collection follow-up activity of 500 to 800 accounts. *

ommunicate with the Financial Service Center and District Financial Manager regarding potential losses. *

ecommend when accounts should be placed with outside agencies or attorneys for collection. *

ecommend plans of action to resolve collection accounts. A

DDITIONAL DUTIES: *

evelop and maintain accurate collection status records for all accounts. *

esolve customer discrepancies or disputes and effect collection of delinquent accounts.

ECHNICAL, MANAGERIAL OR OTHER PROBLEMS: *

ollecting the accounts placed, while keeping open as many sales channels as possible. *

eduction of bad debt expense and third party collection agency fees through the timely collection of the accounts placed. P

RINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: *

mplement successful collection activity to obtain optimum cash flow and profitability from the accounts. *

educe outside collection and bad debt expense through the establishment of an effective collection. *

rovide accurate reports to Division, Districts and Stores to document all collection activity, i.e. status of accounts, costs, etc. *

ecome familiar with all forms of securing receivables, i.e. liens, guarantees, letters of credit, etc. *

aintain open communication with customer and parent store to protect future business relationships. *
