We are looking for a highly-skilled, passionate, and proactive Manager of Network Operations Center with exceptional communication skills, strong technical background in systems administration, and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The NOC Manager will be responsible for managing a team of NOC technicians who handle deployments for Linux/UNIX servers, Delphi/ColdFusion applications, first-tier incident response, and management of payment processing gateways. This includes managing workload, providing technical guidance and support, and ensuring the timely completion of tickets and projects.
Success in this role will require exceptional communication and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask and prioritize effectively, and perform well under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of NOC technicians, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure the timely completion of tickets and projects, and manage team workload accordingly.
- Take the lead role in the incident response bridge.
- Collaborate with other departments to set priorities and expectations and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for the NOC team.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary upgrades and patches.
- Provide regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role.
- Experience with Linux/UNIX servers, Delphi/ColdFusion applications, and incident response management.
- Experience with PagerDuty administration/management (building out workflows and incident response automation inside PD) – an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
