Position Description: Position Summary:
Our client, a leading quick-service restaurant, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join their team. This full-time role involves managing profitability, guest relations, team members, and operations to ensure the successful daily functioning of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a background in the food service industry and possess strong leadership and customer service skills.
Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required, 2 years of college preferred
- 1-2 years of previous quick-service restaurant experience, management experience preferred
- Some understanding of P&L interpretation and management to influence profitability
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated understanding of guest service principles
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed for the proper functioning of the restaurant
Key Responsibilities:
- Profitability and Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory costs and maintain inventory by performing daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.
- Place and receive inventory truck orders.
- Maintain and regularly monitor a list of all restaurant assets.
- Ensure preventative maintenance of the restaurant facility and equipment is completed according to company standards, interacting with external vendors as required.
- Ensure the restaurant follows all cash control and security procedures, including safe counting and managing cash drawers.
- Guest Relations:
- Motivate and direct team members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, fast, and friendly service in a clean facility.
- Provide coaching and feedback to shift coordinators and team members to increase the restaurant teams capabilities and enhance performance.
- Manage the guest experience through proactive service and resolving guest issues promptly.
- Team Leadership and Operational Excellence:
- Direct the restaurant team towards efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products for prompt delivery within established speed of service guidelines.
- Ensure the restaurant upholds operational and brand standards.
- Perform duties of Hourly Shift Coordinator when necessary to support the team and maintain smooth operations.
