The Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly motivated, bilingual Director of Human Resources to lead and oversee our HR initiatives across the US. Reporting to the Director of Internal Operations and working closely with the VP of Operations you will be a key part of growing and maintaining our fulfillment operations across the US.
In this role you will…
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, and conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations as necessary
- Help implement policies to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategic needs
- Monitors and ensures organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices
- Manage our US benefits program with assistance from our brokers
- Consolidate and process weekly US payroll
- Work closely with our Staffing Agency Network to consolidate weekly payroll
- Conduct recruiting efforts for our Carol Stream, Las Vegas and Los Angeles Facilities
- Manage daily check-ins, break periods and check-outs of Fulfillment Staff in Carol Stream
- Provide strategic business partnership and coaching to people leaders
- As a startup company other tasks may be assigned as necessary
What You’ll Bring to the Team (Required Skills):
- 5-10 years of experience working in Human Resources
- Bilingual (Fluency in English and Spanish)
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification highly preferred
- Excellent knowledge of multistate and federal legislation, principles, and practices
- Experience working with a Staffing Agency in the state of Illinois, Nevada and California
- Demonstrated experience consolidating payroll
- Familiarity with ADP Payroll System
- Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship management skills
- Excellent demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to create clear, concise documents such as letters, reports, business plans, and other documents
- Excellent demonstrated verbal communication skills to facilitate, lead, and mediate a variety of meetings with staff of all levels
- Ability to establish mechanisms for performance management, including performance appraisals, performance improvement plans, and workload monitoring
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Demonstrate strong ability to embrace and adapt to changes and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
